This page will be the staging point for the Civil War resources that I will be posting in the near future.  I am currently working on finishing up my Master' s degree, so I do not have the time that I would like to devote to this area. For the time being, I will post the Confederate Veteran pension applications that I have transcribed.

In the future, I plan to offer some history on specific Confederate units, mostly relating to those that my ancestors served in.  The first will be the 26th Louisiana Infantry, Company A.  This company was called the Louisiana Prairie boys and was headed by Captain Eraste Mouton.  Their primary service location was in the defense of Vicksburg.

Other sections will include books that I have read on the Civil War, along with my recommendations on them, as well as web links that you may find informational or complimentary to this site. Thanks for stopping by and please come back.
